Manhole cover in Slatina nad Zdobnicí, Královéhradecký kraj, Czechia

A grid pattern, consisting of regular squares, dominates the surface of this specimen, indicating its primarily functional design. In the center, a circular relief is visible, whose exact purpose remains the subject of research by the Institute of Lidology, but its symmetry is undeniable. Surrounding paving stones of grey concrete form a contrasting, yet harmonious background for this industrial artifact.
