Manhole cover in Funchal, Portugal

The geometric pattern of interlocking diamonds, masterfully set in a pavement of irregular boulders, is a fascinating example of early industrial aesthetics. The inscriptions "S.L.A.T." and "EYSSA-TESIS" on this cast-iron artifact suggest either a specific supplier or perhaps even an early form of corporate identity whose secrets await discovery in the archives of the Institute of Humanology.

Geometrický vzor propletených kosočtverců, mistrně zasazený do dlažby z nepravidelných valounů, představuje fascinující příklad rané industriální estetiky.
