Manhole cover in Velehrad, 78, Czechia

A regular grid of sixteen circular perforations dominates the central concrete slab, which is surrounded by irregular paving of stone cubes. This specimen, carefully documented by the Institute of Lidology, represents an archetypal example of a functional drainage element, whose surface bears traces of atmospheric weathering and organic colonization.

Pravidelný rastr šestnácti kruhových perforací dominuje centrální betonové desce, která je obklopena nepravidelnou dlažbou z kamenných kostek. Tento exemplář, pečlivě zdokumentovaný Institutem lidologie, představuje archetypální příklad funkčního odvodňovacího prvku, jehož povrch nese stopy atmosférického zvětrávání a organického osídlení.
