Manhole cover in Liberec, Liberecký kraj, Czechia

The central armorial shield with the depiction of two towers, a lion in a leap and a cogwheel represents an interesting specimen of urban heraldry. Around this coat of arms is a circular inscription 'LIBEREC' and the outer edge is decorated with a repeating geometric pattern, which is typical of town hatches from the region. This artefact, set in an asphalt surface, shows signs of normal wear, but its structural integrity remains intact.
