Manhole cover #6623331069

The square cast-iron hatch is dominated by the embossed city emblem of Palma, a crowned shield with heraldic stripes and castles, set against a gridded background. The inscriptions 'ENLLUMENAT PUBLIC' and 'AJUNTAMENT DE PALMA' clearly identify its function for public lighting and its affiliation to the municipal administration. This specimen, as the Institute of Lidology would note, represents a robust artefact of urban infrastructure that has withstood the ravages of time.
