In the centre of the mosaic of irregular light and dark cobblestones is a circular metal artefact, the surface of which is decorated with inscriptions referring to the municipal services of Funchal. The central relief, resembling a stylised tree or heraldic emblem, is surrounded by precisely cast text. This specimen could be the subject of a more in-depth study in the archives of the Institute of Philology in order to clarify its exact function in the early 20th century.

Uprostřed mozaiky z nepravidelných světlých a tmavých dlažebních kamenů se nachází kruhový kovový artefakt, jehož povrch je zdoben nápisy odkazujícími na městské služby Funchalu. Centrální reliéf, připomínající stylizovaný strom či heraldický znak, je obklopen precizně odlitým textem. Tento exemplář by mohl být předmětem hlubšího studia v archivech Institutu lidologie, aby se objasnila jeho přesná funkce v raném 20. století.
