The surface of this specimen features a complex grid pattern, which is interrupted in the central part by a stylized depiction of the Prague skyline with dominant towers and the heraldic element of a sword or sceptre. The inscriptions 'PRAŽSKÁ PLYNÁRENSKÁ a.s.' and the flame symbol clearly identify its utilitarian function in gas distribution, a fascinating piece of urban infrastructure for the philologist. It is a sturdy cast-iron artifact that, despite the obvious wear and tear of time, still serves its purpose with remarkable integrity.
