Manhole cover in Oxford, United Kingdom

In the center, a star-shaped ornament unfolds, from which circular segments with openings radiate, resembling flower petals. The outer ring bears inscriptions that whisper stories of old streets and craftsmanship from the late 19th century.

Uprostřed se rozvíjí hvězdicový ornament, z něhož paprskovitě vybíhají kruhové segmenty s otvory, připomínající okvětní lístky. Vnější prstenec nese nápisy, které šeptají příběhy starých ulic a řemeslné zručnosti z konce 19. století.
