Manhole cover #3628314365

On the surface of this example of urban infrastructure is a grid of relief crosses arranged in a regular grid. The central inscription in Chinese, "深圳市雨水井盖", clearly identifies its function as a manhole cover for the storm drain in Shenzhen, a valuable linguistic find for the Institute of Lidology. The surrounding concrete paving with pebbles and occasional leaves suggests its integration into the outdoor environment.
